Born in Lima, Peru and raised in Utah, she grew up with a love of fiber arts and textiles. She is both a fine artist and a designer, having received a BFA in Fashion Design with a minor in History of Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in 2019. As a student she had the opportunity to experiment with various art forms and skills, from patternmaking to hand sewing to abstract painting, eventually leading to a love of the history of art, oil paint, and figuration. She used lockdown to develop a new portfolio of figurative paintings, taking classes at Hunter College and the Art Students League in Midtown Manhattan.
