Tommy Hilfiger

Interview Project, Winter 2021 for Spring 2022. A bright and exciting children’s wear collection that features both woven and knit garments inspired by rainbow and the 70s’ retro aesthetic.

La Nouvelle Vague

Thesis Portfolio, Spring 2019 for SS20 / AW20. A children's wear collection inspired by the films of Eric Rohmer, a filmmaker during the French New Wave. I gathered inspiration from the naturalistic sceneries and bright, primary color palettes used in his films. For more info, please read the Introduction pages of my thesis project, shown below.

Henri Collection

Autumn/Winter 2018. A colorful, feminine women’s wear collection that features both woven and knit garments inspired by the works by artist Henri Matisse.

Jansson

Spring 2018 for SS/19. The Jansson collection is a playful childrenswear collection inspired by Finnish painter and illustrator (and creator of the Moomins book series.)

New Romantics

Fall 2017 for SS19. A ready to wear womenswear collection inspired by the timelessness of romance and the idea that even though romance has existed from the dawn of time, it continues to be reinvented and renewed, thereby staying current.

Louise

CFDA Portfolio, Spring 2018 for SS/19. The Louise Collection is a children’s wear collection inspired by the works of contemporary fine artist Louise Bourgeoise, who through her art “studied the emotional impact of her troubled childhood.” I was particularly inspired by her 2001 work, The Trauma of Abandonment. I was also inspired in part by the work of Sophie Calle, another artist whose work is influenced by intimacy and the vulnerability of human relationships.

T O A D.

Fall 2017 for AW18. A womenswear collection inspired by patterns in nature, especially in the patterns and odd shapes that decorate the bodies of frogs and toads. I aimed to take something that was off-putting and unattractive and turn it into something that could be defined as beautiful.

A Verdant Field

Sustainable Business Project, Spring 2019 for SS20. A business proposal project for a sustainable layette brand, A Verdant Field. If you would like to see the full written business plan for this project, please contact me via email.
